Employer Responsibilities

By law, employers need to display:

  • A Health and Safety Law Poster
    or give workers Health & Safety Law – What you should know
    (copy supplied at back of folder)

  • A copy of the current Employers Liability Insurance certificate

To comply with current health and safety legislation, employers must have:

  • A nominated Health and Safety person

  • An accident sheet (sample enclosed)

  • A suitable first aid box

  • A written Health and Safety policy if you have 5 or more employees (including learners) (see this section for detail)

  • A written assessment of the hazards in the work place (see book and forms in this section)
