Learners for Veterinary Nursing must be employed at a practice registered with the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) to take trainees.
A structured programme of day release classes is provided over the two
year programme, covering the theory required for the Work Based Diploma.
There is a large
amount of science in the course and learners must have 5 GCSE passes at
C or above, including Mathematics, English Language and Science, before starting.
A portfolio of case logs is prepared each year and a practical examination
occurs at the end of the Work Based Diploma. |
