Work Based Diplomas in Environmental Conservation prepare learners for jobs such as:
- Country park warden
- Park Ranger
- Employment with Wildlife Trusts
- Estate work
- Work with National Parks
- Nature reserve work
- Rights of way officer

The qualification is unit based which allows learners and employers a
choice of units:
- Environmental good practice
- Habitat management
- Construction and maintenance of boundaries and access points
- Health and safety
- Communicate with, and care for the public and others
- Survey and report on the condition of the environment

In addition to the Work Based Diploma, DART offers the learners the opportunity to gain further training within their area of work:
- First aid certificate
- Chainsaw maintenance
- Machinery servicing and maintenance
- Pesticide application
